Wellbore enlargement
The Endeavour Company has successfully completed a project for engineering support in expanding the pilot lateral wellbore from a diameter of 152.4 mm to 177.8 mm.
The main objective of the operation was to ensure the smooth running and quality cementing of a 139.7 mm liner by increasing the annular space. The tasks set within the framework of the project were fully accomplished.
Before commencing the work, Endeavour’s specialists conducted a detailed analysis of the well drilling process, involving technical experts from National Oilwell Varco (NOV). Based on the analysis, an expansion program was developed, and recommendations were provided regarding the bottom hole assembly (BHA) configuration and operational modes for the entire interval. This approach maximized results while minimizing the risks of potential accidents.
During the operation, specialized software products from NOV, such as TerraSCOPE™, VibraSCOPE™, and ReedHycalog Hydraulics™, were used to calculate hydraulic losses. The work was performed using hydraulic expanders manufactured by National Oilwell Varco ReedHycalog™.

The final report includes a factual description of the expansion process, an analysis of encountered challenges, and suggestions for improving similar operations in the future.
The Endeavour Company continues to demonstrate a high level of expertise and innovation in the oil and gas service industry, providing reliable solutions for complex technological challenges.
